I've SEARCHED everywhere for a solution to this - many people claim it is a false positive and others still recommend copious amounts of anti-virus programs to delete it, which is ridiculous. I just want to get rid of this 'virus', I don't want/need to download 15 programs, so let's find another solution. Some people delete the file manually in command prompt, which I tried but I still receive the 'access is denied' or 'file not found' notification.
What is more perplexing is that AVG finds the virus, can tell when I move it to the desktop to try and extract the file and/or attempt to open it in notepad (in fact, it won't even let me do so) but it can't get rid of it? I've emailed virus@avg.com and requested help but to no avail. On top of all of this, spybot does not find the virus and avg tells me I am protected. Excuse the frustration but I consider myself very computer savvy and this 'virus' has me running in circles. Let me know if you want a hijackthis file attached or something but PLEASE help.
