BT Wireless dongle

I have just bought a BT USB wireless dongle for internet access on the move but just as I am installing the pnp software my AVG blocks its! Even if I disable the firewall or the resident shield AVG still wont allow it. Has anyone any ideas?

If you uninstall AVG does the dongle work?

Hmm, I don't want to go here if I can help it. I will keep trying.actually I installed it on an older laptop which gas AVG antivirus and Zone Alarm firewall. It installed without problems, Zone Alarm asked me to grant permissions, but it allowed it when I agreed to, unlike the AVG firewall ! but the resultant internet speed ( 7.2 Mbps ) is pathetic! Web pages take forever to load and a lot of things such as MSN messenger won't even connect

Re-install AVG without the firewall component and see what happens. No need to double up on firewalls, in my opinion.
