Windows Vista Fails to boot After AVG Internet Security

Hello there, recently my subscription to AVG expired, so i decided to go along and purchase the AVG Internet Security from your website, Paid the £28 and received everything required shortly after.

I downloaded and installed the AVG from the email link i received. It got to almost the end of the installation and crash everything out, Windows mail, AVG, and various other open applications failed to respond, after over 30 mins i decided to power off the machine.

When booting into Windows it just stays on a black screen. I have fixed this issue by going into safe mode and using the AVG Uninstaller tool which works, and now windows is able to boot again.


Now the problem is each time i install AVG Internet Security windows Vista fails too boot, and every time i install AVG it crashes at the end.

How can i prevent this?

I have been doing that actually.
Once i have installed AVG, well most of it... It will crash out and the only way to get the system responsive again is to Power it off and turn it back on, ofcourse when i do turn it back on i have to go into safe mode and use your AVG-Removal tool.

In turn, when i reboot Windows works. As soon as attempt to install AVG again (using the same .exe, or redownloading it (Yes i have done this over 10 times now )) it will do exactly the same again!

But esseintally to answer your advice, that's exactly what i have been doing each time.

Are you using the latest download from www.avg.com/download ? What is your OS?

And i am using the most recent download from your site.

I sent an email to the support site on AVG they day i made this thread, got a responce a fwe hours later but ever since i have replied i have not had a responce...

Might as well close this support thread, decided to buy Kaspersky as that would install without problems.
My next cause of action will be trying to get a refund, i have had a problematic couple weeks and this issue has not been seen to be either the forums or the email support.

I am very disapointed in the support given.

Sorry that I haven't gotten back to you sooner - I've been away for a few days and I guess no one else caught the thread.
