Changed server IP, broke AVG...how can I fix it?

Postby JTBurns » Mon Jan 25, 2010 12:35 pm

We had to change the IP of the server that AVG connects to. The host name is the same, though. Unfortunately, even though all the other apps on that server work fine, AVG will not update anymore. When I try to run updates (either via the admin console or on the client PC) I get an error message that mentions an invalid CTF file. I cleared the update temp from the client PC and restarted, then it will usually update one or two times before failing out again. Is there a procedure for what to do when the IP of the server changes? What do you think is wrong? It's rather important that we get this fixed.

Thank you,

Jason

Can you ping the hostname from the workstation?
