Removing threats failed (Using advanced.. is forbidden)

Postby pentalog » Tue Dec 14, 2010 6:15 am

Hi,
I 'm receiving a lot of these messages:
Removing threats failed (Using advanced object removing technique is forbidden), sent to: AVG Admin Console, sent from: station P...
from our 480 stations, and I always wanted to know "Why?" and what should I do in order to see them no more
I'm using the last Avg Admin Console Version 9.0.827 /Database Version: 9.3.44
The idea behind all the settings I made for all our stations is that the AVG can do itself all that is necessary in order to remove any threat without any user intervention.
In "Scan Results" section there are still a lot of stations with un-removed infections and when I manually "Remove all threats" from the AVG console some are healed and some are not and returns the message i wrote above.

What is wrong? and what is the meaning of the message?
Do I need do do some other settings in order to force AVG to auto-heal the stations?
Thanks for any idea.

(already did the Search and some docs - nothing about that there)

Thanks for your intention, but right now all I get is:

Your search - cache:eqaG532N9K8J:forums.avg.com/eu-da/avg-free-forum?sec=thread&act=show&id=127433 "Using advanced object removing technique is forbidden" - did not match any documents.

Suggestions: ...

I'll re-check the AVG-free forum, but as I remember, I already saw the answers and didn't find anything useful, nor how to "repair" this.

They recently modified their link structure, it seems, which is why old links aren't working. Try this: http://forums.avg.com/ww-en/avg-free-fo ... &id=127009

Thanks, it worked.
there is more than a week and I have now fewer messages :)
(others red messages like "moved Object is bigger than the archive size limit" - mail related - I'll see about them later )

Keep up the good work!
